I wanted to inform everyone of a really fun event we are planning with profe Gomez for April 23. We will be going to the LACMA Museum with a group of students from one of her classes (SPAN 321). During this visit, the emphasis will be viewing artwork from Pablo Picasso, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, other works from Mexican muralists José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros, the Mexican painter Rufino Tamayo and the vanguardist Cuban-Chinese painter Wifredo Lam. This is a FREE event but if anyone is interested, please contact Sarah Raffety sraffety@usc.edu by Sunday morning, 10am. We should be there a little before one, so plan on leaving from USC around noon on April 23.
Also, in the email, please indicate if you can drive and how many spaces you have.
This should be a very fun event and we can't wait to see you there!
